Symptoms and Stages of Lyme Disease

The symptoms and stages of Lyme can be easily attributed to other issues and causes, especially in western medical communities. The only way to know for sure if the root cause of your symptoms is Lyme, is to test using an accurate as possible testing method - sadly, many tests are less than 90% accurate and often return false negative results.

Symptoms and Progression of Lyme Disease

Stage 1: Symptoms begin within days or weeks of a tick bite and initial infection
  • Flu symptoms
  • Fever
  • GI upset
  • Headache
  • Joint Pain
  • Sore muscles
  • Stiff neck
  • Bullseye rash
Stage 2: Symptoms begin within weeks or months of a tick bite and initial infection
  • Nerve pain
  • Numbness
  • Facial palsy
  • Meningitis
  • Fever
  • Stiff neck
  • Fever
  • Heart issues
Stage 3: CHRONIC Lyme Symptoms begin within months or years of a tick bite and initial infection, can be reactivated with no notice
  • Joint pain
  • Brain fog
  • Insomnia
  • Limb numbness
  • Chronic fatigue
  • And more

These lists are not exhaustive. No one experiences Lyme symptoms the same way. Some people may never have a bullseye rash or fever and never notice a tick bite. Your chronic symptoms may be related to or caused by Lyme Disease. Without proper testing to achieve an accurate diagnosis, healing from Lyme is almost impossible.
